Daily Duties at St Vincent's East:

St. Vincent’s Health System (East) Birmingham, AL 2/2004 – 12/ 2013 Non-profit, faith based hospital, with a mission of serving the poor and needy in our community. Associate Manager of Operations, Materials Management, Supply Chain, Inventory Control: Responsible for implementing the span of operations associated with resource and supply management for the purpose of attaining customer satisfaction and the objectives set forth by The Resource Group, a subsidiary of Ascension Health Alliance. Responsibilities include ensuring that the hospital is provided with consistent, high quality, and cost-effective operations with respect to procurement, purchasing, inventory, warehouse operations, and supply distribution functions. • Analyzed supply chain operational activities overseeing a minimum annual departmental expense budget of $2.5 million and inventory value of $250,000. • Supervised operational direct reports to include central supply fifteen reports covering seven days a week and eighteen hours a day, receiving staff four reports covering five days a week of daily distributor deliveries and all regular delivery trucks, inventory coordination and purchasing one report and mailroom staff with one report both covering five days a week. • Oversaw the management of all inventory control, requesting processes, and ensured the coordination and implementation of all supply contracts with The Resource Group. • Selected to maintained and develop policies and procedures for hospital departmental supply distribution processes and employee training held for all employees. • Partnered with the construction and expansion project teams to ensure that all materials for the projects were ordered, delivered, asset tagged and delivered to the proper areas. Most recent projects were the opening of the St. Vincent’s St. Clair hospital and Psychiatric Services. • Supervised up to thirty additional temporary employees in the reorganization of the main warehouse and all supply Pyxis and surgery locations throughout the hospital in preparation of implementation of the PeopleSoft Supply Chain Software with standards set by The Resource Group.
