Daily Duties at Mattel Inc.:
Managing a team of multi-functional artists specializing in the creation of prototypes for production. Coordinate a department consisting of 14 individuals responsible for support of approximately 250 in house designers and additional designers from company affiliates. Focus of responsibilities that spans from concept generation to production ready design. • Over 1700 projects handled by the department per year approximately. • Coordination of Engineering processes with both domestic and overseas teams. • 2D and 3D design and concept creation for all internal brands. • Increase from 20% to over 75% growth generated in the workload capacity of the department’s digital arm in fiscal year 2005. • Support the design and production needs for Hot Wheels, Barbie, Fisher Price, Matchbox, Tyco, Radica, and American Girl Brands.
