Daily Duties at Alfred State College:
Responsible for hiring and management of student Orientation Leaders, who were responsible for working in small groups with first year students and for providing an array of large-scale programs and educational workshops for incoming students in July and August 07. Developed a weeklong intensive training session for the orientation leaders that included training in group dynamics, teambuilding, professionalism and ethics, student development issues related to incoming students, familiarity with campus resources and academic success programs. Co- led (with another co-coordinator) the summer orientation and “Week of Welcome” program for 1,300 incoming first year students.
