Daily Duties at Pointsmith:
Wrote/scripted/deployed Stored Procedures and T-SQL code in support of client applications. Wrote/built/deployed C# Assemblies for Encryption, Secure FTP, and Directory operations for SQL Server. Designed, wrote scripts for, and architected an upgrade of 43 databases from SQL Server 2000, 2003, 2005, and 2008 to 2012. Some issues encountered were DDL intermixed with the DML, Linked server references hard coded (And named after servers), schema's owned by users no longer with the company, inconsistent naming/coding, dead code which would no longer compile due to the referenced objects not existing any longer, double hop to get 2000 Databases to 2012 through 2008 R2, inconsistent collation, and cross database chaining. Created 2012 Visual Studio DacPac Projects from all databases, added references, removed dead code, made buildable, and integrated with TFS source Control.
