Daily Duties at Discovery Clinical Trials:
Follow established guidelines in the collection of clinical data and/or administration of endocrinology studies. Assist in preparation and submission of essential documents for submission to Sponsor and/or IRB for regulatory filing purposes and maintenance. Confer and recruit potential study subjects to explain purpose of study and obtain informed consent; explain diagnostic procedures and/or treatment plans to alleviate subject and/or family concerns. Schedule subjects for study and laboratory procedures as well as treatments based on protocol instructions. Conduct subject study visits according to protocol timelines and perform any procedures. Ensure all protocol required blood samples, cultures, tissues, and other specimens are obtained for laboratory analysis. Ensure all laboratory specimens are processed and shipped according to laboratory instructions and within specified timelines. Dispense study drug to qualified study subjects and perform drug accountability on all returned study drug. Collect data from subject charts, medical records, interviews, questionnaires, diaries, diagnostic tests, and other sources and transcribe to Case Report Forms (CRFs) or perform Remote Data Entry (RDE). Obtain patient consent forms; schedule research visits and phlebotomy; and input research data and case reports into applicable database.
