Daily Duties at Oxy Chem:
• Project Engineer: Performed process engineering and project management functions for large capital projects. Performed scope development, subcontractor interfacing, and development of cost estimates, schedules, spending plans, and project presentations. Provided procurement and finance control for multiple projects. • Maintenance Coordinator. Supervised labor crews. Led rate reduction planning and routine maintenance for work centers- pipe, electrical, millwright, and scaffold. Provided reliability engineering support. • Process Engineer. Performed process monitoring, six sigma analysis and troubleshooting. Modeled processes in ASPEN®. Performed detailed design calculations. Developed process control in Honeywell DCS. Conducted hazard reviews. Mentored new engineers. Developed process flow diagrams, P&IDs, mass and energy balances, and process economics. • Process Supervisor, Chlor-Alkali Ethylene Dichloride (EDC), Wastewater Plants and Incinerators. Met production for 2100 ton/day EDC unit. Tracked process parameters and monthly operating budget costs in SAP®. Managed hazardous waste. Trained and supervised Operators. Ensured ISO 9000 compliance.
