Daily Duties at General Dynamics:

Directly responsible for maritime engineering systems on board the Littoral Combat ship including design, integration test and activation for delivery to the Navy Accountable for all marine engineering and navigation system related matters in support of LCS2, LCS4 and LCS6 combat ships. Oversaw the overall design, production, integration, testing, commissioning and lifecycle of all engineering systems. Ensured that ABS Classification and USCG CFR’s were adhered to during vessel(s) construction. Supervised the technical design review activities of cross-functional engineering teams and support staff. Partnered with vendors, management and cross-functional departments to design, develop, install, and verify engineering control software and navigation systems. Monitored project progress for regulatory compliance with and verification of requirements / build specifications. Drafted engineering documentation, Engineering Control System Software changes and technical schematics. Performed fault-tree and root cause analysis of engineering and navigation systems and integrated bridge modules. Created, negotiated and administered vendor-support and sub-contractor contract agreements. Served as Safety Team Leader, chairing safety review boards, presenting safety training / informational sessions; Maintained ship-wide safety hazard database; Selected as Weapon System Explosive Safety Review Board presenter
