Daily Duties at Marine Corps Recruiting Command:
Conducted a semi-annual structure analysis for the nation utilizing the current models; review data on an ongoing basis and report trends and program objectives; and conduct needs assessments as warranted. Planned, researched and conducted special studies, such as Structure Analysis Studies and Diversity Program Studies for Marine Corps Recruiting Command Regions and Districts recruiting Command respectively. Provided United States Marine Corps Recruiting Command (USMC) MUD Database for both Enlisted and Officer’s file respectively. Provided a quality checked by querying and analyzing the data for structural and recruiting purposes. Studied, performed analysis for enlisted and officer prospect market and environmental factors to the upper management at Marine Corps Recruiting Command. Coordinated and facilitated the National Structure/Operations Conference both operationally and logistically to ensure the biannual meetings are conducted and in conjunction with other organizational initiatives. Attended and participated in meetings with management to address administrative issues, resolved problems, and provided recommendations for correcting or improving administrative operations while representing the organization at all levels of government and industry events. Provided youth market and personnel database technical guidance and also recruiting statistical information to be included in OSD, SECNAV, MEPCOM, JMRS, and higher HQ monthly reports. Ensured all (8) Districts and Regions Marketing Specialists are retrieving their data from MCRISS on a daily monthly basis to eliminate the Priority Prospect Card (PPC) mailing delay. Conduct research and quantitative and qualitative analysis on recruiting related matters ranging from production performance to trend analysis. Assisted in developing a database system; maintained, manipulated and processed transactions in a variety of web-based systems and applications including Marine Corps Recruiting Information Support Systems (MCRISS), Recruiting Management Information Systems (RMIS), COGNOS (Total Force Data Warehouse). Operated databases, spreadsheets, document management systems to track project progress; log information into databases for reports; monitor progress of all required curriculum of all candidates to external universities. Develops/ reviews Quality Assurance Testing Scenarios and perform Software Quality Assurance Testing in house and with MCRC vendors. Coordinated work and problem solving efforts amongst other internal and external professional Marine Corps staff and other civilian organization within Department of Defense (DoD) spectrum. USMC/MCRC Program Manager for “No Child Left Behind” (NCLB) mandated by the United States Congress in 2001. The NCLB, which was enacted in 2001, included language matching that previously included in the NDAA to require high schools to allow military recruiters access to campuses and to provide student directory information, with two differences: 1. No exemption afforded to school districts with a local policy preventing Recruiter Access To High Schools. 2. Consequences for schools not in compliance may include loss of DoD Education funding. Communicated effectively verbally and in writing while preparing and conducting program reviews, defending programs from funding reductions, and reprogramming existing funds. Gathered, distribute and consolidate information for reports while performing essential tasks, including researching, evaluating, and interpreting numerous regulations, policies, and directives related to the military recruiting process. Reported all USMC recruiting data to the Office of Secretary of Defense.
