Daily Duties at Mmy Consulting:

• Responsible for assessment of ICD-10 readiness for 21 hospitals within a large Midwestern health system. • Interviewed and educated 25-30 departments at each hospital. • Created process flow charts for each department’s workflow, with applications being used, ICD coding being done, and reports needed. • Worked with new clinical documentation improvement specialists (CDS) on how to have physicians appropriately document based on specialty and medical diagnosis to support the diagnosis. • Created over 90 test scripts based on application and process flow for health system. • Coordinated testing with end users, application analysts, and desktop services. This included making sure that testing laptops were setup with test applications and had been updated to ICD-10 coding. • Functional testing and partial integrated testing completed at each hospital. Testing documentation signed off by department directors and database setup to hold testing results.
