Heat Transfer and Mixing In Flow through Pinched Pipes (CSIR-NCL Patent: 1079-DEL-2013) Proposed a new passive method for heat transfer enhancement Successfully evaluated the performance of the new method using CFD analysis (Ansys- Fluent) Validated the performance by experimental study Achieved a 20% enhancement in heat transfer performance and reduction in axial mixing compared with straight pipe CFD analysis of Flow and Heat Transfer in Pinched Helical Coils Proposed a combination of two passive methods- ‘Pinched Pipes’ and helical coils Evaluated the performance in different parametric regime using CFD analysis (Ansys-Fluent) Slight enhancement in heat transfer performance due to pinching in helical coils Experimental and Numerical study of Heat Transfer in 1-2 pass Helical Coil Heat Exchanger Determined the heat transfer characteristics of a newly proposed design by experimental study Suggested design modifications for performance enhancement based on flow and heat transfer simulations performed in Ansys-Fluent
