Daily Duties at Washington Mortgage Corporation :
Responsible for a daily pipeline of loans that consisted of purchase and refinance mortgage loans. Approved, denied or made a counter offer regarding mortgage loan applications. Worked with loan processors to obtain the required documents for proper loan analysis and approval. Performed a thorough analysis of credit, income, assets, appraisal, title commitment and Fannie Mae DU and Freddie Mac LP findings. Performed in depth appraisal analysis, including review of comparable properties (age, proximity to subject, line, net & gross adjustments). issue conditional approval on mortgage loan applications Provided meticulous attention to detail in underwriting mortgages. Evaluated the financial strength of borrowers to determine risk and repayment capacity. Ensured loan submittals met internal and external eligibility requirements Leveraged knowledge of loan products to help restructure turned-down loans for subsequent approvals. Balanced the need for loan-volume with the equally important necessity of optimum underwriting quality to minimize risk while maximizing profitability. Demonstrated excellent follow-through with borrowers, loan processors, loan originators and management throughout all phases of the underwriting process.
