Daily Duties at Bran Core Technologies:
Maintains operation of local area, worldwide and virtual private networks (VPN)as a contractor for Dominion Power. Evaluates performance and troubleshoots installation and/or configuration of hardware and software elements of data, voice and video communication networks for DWDM, Microwave, nuclear, gas, electric and radio transmissions. Daily performs monitoring in all areas of network and computer hardware/software interconnections and interfacing, such as switches routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges and gateways. Testing and monitoring of DS0, T1, OC3 - 48, SONET - DWDM circuits using equipment and software such as NetAnalyst, 1301 - Alcatel, Net Smart - Fujitsu, CA Spectrum - TCP/IP monitoring, NetDog, Ethernet, 3G, MPLS, PPP and other various connections.
