Daily Duties at Free Ahead:

A reporting and dispatching agent for the VA Department of Transportation Traffic Control operations office using a computer terminal, CCTV (closed circuit TV) and HAR (highway advisory radio). Analyzes traffic conditions on interstate, primary and secondary roadways to control traffic congestion, update public advisory media. Dispatched Safety Service Patrol agents to highway emergencies. Worked as a liaison with VA State Police, Local and Municipal Police to request dispatches and update of road conditions. Prepared reports to civic and contracted agencies. Set up work zones of contractors for roadways, bridges and ferries in tracking system and monitored, updated and completed scheduling of daily activities.
