Daily Duties at Veiovis (Fhp Healthcare):

Currently Chief Financial Officer for FHP Healthcare, Guam’s Largest Polyclinic, with primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities for 16 operation centers and 200+ FTE’s. Areas of responsibility include devising financial strategic plans and articulating these objectives to clinic management for implementation. Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization. Ensure credibility of Finance group by providing timely and accurate consolidated reports, analysis, financial trends and forecasts. Instructing, assisting and reviewing annual operating budgets, highlighting areas of potential growth, cost savings opportunities and ensuring budgets meet communicated strategic direction. Tracking financial results on a continual basis to ensure the achievement of goals or necessary course corrections. Submitting business development initiatives that identify competitive advantages and opportunities for positive revenue enhancement. Playing the central role in recruitment, hiring, compensation structuring and relocation packages for clinical providers. Provided executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities. Focus on expansion of profitable operations and decreasing non-essential expenses which resulted in an increase of overall profitability by 34% (1.2 million dollars) in 2013. Provide leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives including associated banking relationships. Hands-on lead position of developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive cost analysis system. Ensure that effective internal controls were in place and ensured compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state and local legal and regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting. Work with senior leadership in the development and implementation of creative financial management strategies for the company.
