Daily Duties at Lehman Brothers Inc.:

Expert responsible for Equity Derivatives balance sheet integrity and closing of the books at month-end. • Ensured P&L reporting was accurate in the general ledger, and provided ad-hoc analysis. • Identified control weaknesses and developed/improved existing reconciliations between P&L system and sub ledger systems. Responsibilities included the management of projects specific to month end close. • Responsible for a highly complex month end process involving over 60,000 GL entries a month. • Charged with a $50m break between front office P&L and General Ledger that existed for over a year. Built reconciliations for every sub ledger source system that fed the GL (both manually and systematically) and created a platform that enabled complete transparency of the P&L and balance sheet at a more detailed level. • Stabilized a $50m break and reduced it to $10m while hiring/training a team to be capable of running the month end close. • Successfully managed a project between Product Control and Operations to automate the derivatives postings to the General Ledger. • Supervised team of 4 responsible for all aspects of the London Equity Derivatives gene
