• Designed experiments to investigate the effects of compositions (Si/Al ratio and non-framework cations) in MFI and LTA films on thermal transport properties • Synthesized and characterized MFI and LTA particles • Synthesized and characterized oriented zeolite membranes with various compositions using secondary hydrothermal method, XRD, SEM, atomic force microscopy (AFM), and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) • Performed thermal conductivity experiment using 3-omega method • Developed part of non-equilibrium molecular dynamics code for thermophysical property prediction • Designed experiments to investigate the performance of inorganic/organic composite membranes for direct methanol fuel cell • Synthesized and characterized porous aluminophosphate (APO) particles • Fabricated and characterized inorganic/polymeric (Nafion®) composite membranes (mixed-matrix membranes) • Designed and optimized impedance and electrochemistry cells for measuring ionic/electrical transport properties of inorganic/polymeric composite and zeolite powders • Investigated methanol transport characteristic in inorganic/polymeric composite; methanol transport were measured via refractometer • Developed Langevin dynamics code for simulating polymer/large molecules dynamics through ion channels (Si3N4)
