Daily Duties at University Of Colorado:

• Designed and developed organic – inorganic composite membranes which blocked Chemical Warfare Agents (CWA) or had capacity toward hazardous industrial gases and light gases (CO2 separations) • Fabricated and characterized organic/inorganic mixed matrix membranes based on inorganic nanoporous particles (ALPO-18, SAPO-34, MFI, FAU, LTA), imidazolium based RTIL, and imidazolium based polymerizable ionic liquid • Synthesized and characterized various zeolite particles (ALPO-18, SAPO-34, MFI, FAU, LTA) using hydrothermal method, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) respectively • Investigated and analyzed gas transport properties (CO2, CH4, N2) through inorganic particles – RTIL membranes using vacuum time lag apparatus
