Daily Duties at Memc/Sun Edison:

Served as the Internal Audit Manager over both SOX and operational audits, with responsibility for all aspects of engagement execution, department metrics, staffing/scheduling, deficiency tracking, departmental budgeting and cost containment. •Performed an overall risk assessment and developed the 2011 Internal Audit plan for presentation and approval from the Audit Committee, including both SOX and operational audit needs. •Managed a global team of six (6) auditors, including one (1) manager, three (3) senior auditors and (2) staff auditors, through engagement reviews and the overall performance management process, including both controls over financial reporting, IT controls and controls identified through operational audits. •Coordinated regularly with Operational, Financial and C-level individuals to update and confirm process documentation, including narratives, flowcharts and Risk and Control Matrices and to assist the team in documenting the relevant business processes. •Coordinated with the external auditors and our Business partners to ensure good communication and coordination for current year audit expectations and timing. •Assisted the Director with developing overall Internal Audit methodologies, tools, policies and procedures and work with the team to ensure cohesive roll-out of changes within the department.
