Daily Duties at Xerox Business Services:
Led Midrange Engineering Organization, supporting over 66,000 Unix & Windows based systems and over 75 Petabytes of managed storage. Combined technology environment consists of: Windows, Linux, Solaris, CentOS, HPUX, AS/400, Stratus, ASM, Veritas Foundation Suite, Veritas Cluster Server, Oracle RAC, EMC, HP, NetApp, Clariion, Cisco, Brocade • Led an organization of 800+ engineers and six direct reports leading various aspects of the engineering organization. • Responsible for a budget in excess of $40M annually (Operating & Capital). • Responsible for IT Outsourcing operations for over 300 companies, including top Fortune companies such as Nike, McDonalds, Zale. • Work closely with partner engineering organizations to mature the IT delivery model. Major Contributions: • Built innovative solutions for customers as they migrate systems from physical to virtual operating environments. • Effectively utilized BMC Server Automation solutions; BladeLogic, Atrium Orchestrator, Remedy ITSM to Automate midrange service delivery. • Built Closed-Loop incident ticket infrastructure, automating over 25% of the previously manual processes handled by the engineering team. Cost savings are currently well over $2M annually. • Built in Automated Security Audit remediation for all clients whom we are effectively measuring against Xerox Business Service audit compliance policies, costs savings of nearly $2M annually.
