Daily Duties at Focus Asset Management, Llc:

I was responsible for the research and due diligence process across the firm. I was responsible primarily for monitoring of the firm’s active managers and performing due diligence on prospective new managers. Strategies covered include Event Driven, Long/Short, Equity Market Neutral, Convertible Arbitrage, Merger Arbitrage, Capital Structure and Credit Arbitrage, Distressed & High-Yield, Macro Global and CTA, globally. I was primarily responsible for the ongoing development of manager search, due diligence and monitoring processes. I was responsible for ongoing supervision and training of research staff, across strategies. I was a member of the firm's Asset Management Committee – performing strategy research and quantitative analysis, as well as analyzing top-down and bottom-up proposals. I wrote the firm's quarterly letter, white papers, presentations and other marketing materials. I regularly met with institutional clients during due diligence visits to NY.
