Daily Duties at Sunrise Acres:
Production scheduling, sales and marketing, Human Resources, AR/AP, Facilities, Regulatory and compliance, commodity pricing Senior manager of finance and operations reporting directly to President/CEO Responsible for $50 million in sales annually Oversaw financial reporting and analysis for 9 business entities under the same ownership Lead major capital projects including remodel of feed mill operation ($10 million capital expense) and purchase of manufacturing and farming equipment ($5-10 million annually) Designing, planning, budgeting, financing, and building 5000 sq. foot new office building to accommodate growth of companies Managed departments that included 75 employees across 5 sites and 3 shifts Areas of responsibility and oversight include Finance, Facilities, IT, Office Administration, Production, Transportation, Shipping & Receiving, Sales & Marketing, Human Resources, Quality Control, Regulatory & Compliance, Accounting, Auditing, AP/AR, Purchasing, Maintenance, Budgeting, Scheduling & Planning, and Customer Service Responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive JIT logistics and distribution strategic plan to ensure optimal customer service and profitability Structured and negotiated pricing and premium promotions Manage and optimize a JIT supply chain logistics network with three distributions centers operating 7 days a week 365 days a year Ensure all regulatory and compliance measures are met within OSHA, USDA, EPA, DOT, MDEQ, MDARD, and FDA guidelines Drove operational excellence and best practices across company and supply chain Developed strategic planning with Senior Executives and ownership for continuous process improvement, internal control improvement, and cost control Developed an Employee Handbook in English and Spanish to ensure proper processes and procedures were understood by all employees with an emphasis on safety and awareness of employee rights and responsibilities
