Daily Duties at Nasa Ames Research Center:
Project Manager for the Stennis Field Goniometer In charge of design fabrication and deployment of a field deployable Goniometer that is fully automated to obtain hyperspectral fingerprints for ground truthing of vegetation, soils and manmade objects. The device was developed to support Stennis Space Center’s Remote Sensing Program and to support remote sensing programs for the Air Force and other government agencies. Responsible for managing 6 person engineering team made up of mechanical, electrical and controls engineers to design the worlds first fully automated Goniometer. I was responsible for leading my team in not only designing the hardware, but the support hardware and custom trailer for towing to remote locations. The hardware had to be designed to be rugged as it was assembled in remote locations. We were the first project at NASA Ames to successfully implement ISO 9000.
