Daily Duties at Gt Advanced Technologies:
Controlled cost, ensured quality, staff safety and productivity and managed multiple toolsets in start-up/ramping Fab environments. Directed over 200 operators/technicians and exempts with specialties in process, operations and equipment support. Assisted in planning and directing layout of equipment, ensured production follows appropriate workflow and assembly methods. Oversaw operations of the fabrication department including slicing, grinding, polishing and inspection of sapphire bricks used in several different applications. Developed Management of Change for process changes, improvements and implementation. Developed train the trainer programs to decrease variations of procedures and standardize operation throughout each shift. Created Build of Materials (BOM) for supply chain and purchasing department for consumables used in Fab. Interfaced with R&D, Applications, business development and finance. Facilitated Kaizen events with Production Managers/Supervisors for each department to eliminate wasted steps and improve processes.
