Daily Duties at 23rd Chemical Battalion:

responsible for more than 40,000 end items of equipment valued in excess 0f $101 million. Maintained property accountability records for four Direct Reporting Units and a Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment with an authorized strength of 593 Soldiers. Responsible for reviewing, analyzing and executing property book procedures to ensure the battalion improves and maintains the highest possible Equipment-on-Hand Readiness posture rates through property cross-leveling and redistributing. Provided technical and administrative assistance to commanders and staff of all supported units. Enforced the Army Command Supply Discipline Program throughout the battalion. Monitored force modernization issues and oversaw equipment changes as a result of transformation.
