Daily Duties at Edgemont Union Free School District:
o Established a comfortable, fair, and safe learning environment for all students. o Responsible for creating and implementing diverse lessons, activities, discussions, and assessments that accommodated different types of learners, while also abiding by the NYS Core Curriculum and school districts’ standards. o Provided the necessary accommodations for students with special needs in accordance with their IEP’s or 504’s. o Participated in team meetings every other day to discuss specific students’ academic progress and behaviors with teachers of other disciplines, as well as the team’s guidance counselor. o Maintained open communication with students, parents, and staff regarding students who were missing assignments and/or in danger of failing. o Provided extra help before and after school two to three times a week, as well as updated my teacher website daily. o Attended staff, department, and union meetings each month, as well all Superintendent Conferences and professional development meetings. Attended CSE and Annual Review meetings, as well as parent and student-teacher meetings.
