May 2012 - Nov 2013 Wind Site Manager, Panhandle, TX Facilitated daily management of operational activities. Responsible for P&L, budgeting, management, and training of personnel, health and safety, quality control, and maintenance for two wind plants with Majestic Wind I 53 1.5 GE Turbines for 79.5 MW and Majestic Wind II 51 1.5 GE Turbines for 79.6 MW. • Ensured compliance with safety, environmental policies, and core values • Developed operating and capital budgets and maintained costs within the approved budgets • Identified opportunities to reduce expenses and took corrective actions to implement cost saving projects and procedures/Communicated plant objectives to team/Encouraged employee involvement in team activities • Conducted annual performance appraisals /Recognized good performance and provided corrective feedback • Presented a positive representation for Nextera within the community • Scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PMs) and turbine repairs
