Daily Duties at Universal Solutions International Inc. :

Senior Adviser, Theater Coordinator and Government Representative for PM Tactical Ground Reporting (TIGR) System, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA); I provided leadership, fielding, training oversight and sustainment support for TIGR to all Brigade Combat Teams (BCT’s), Combat Support and Combat Service Support units in Iraq and Afghanistan (58,500 users and 200+ servers). TIGR is a DARPA developed web based software tool that resolved a critical reporting/information sharing shortfall at battalion and below and designated as a key collaboration tool/capability throughout the battle space. Unprecedented Situation Awareness – every Soldier is scout, sensor and intelligence collector. TIGR was selected as a C4ISR Journal 2009 “Big 25 Award” honoree for outstanding innovations in intelligence gathering and networking. TIGR progressed from a proof-of-concept to an Army program of record in one year under combat conditions which is unprecedented. I was also responsible for TIGR SOF global planning and support. TIGR’s annual budget was $48 million Senior Adviser, Theater Coordinator/ Government Representative/PM for Transportable Applications Trans Apps) Program, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA); I provide leadership, provisioning, training oversight and sustainment support. Trans Apps is a cutting edge capability that provides geo-spatial information, intelligence, friendly force tracking and other time sensitive information and applications while on mission. Trans Apps extends the Common Operating Picture (COP) and battle space awareness to the battlefield via a handheld device. Trans Apps is fielded to combat brigades in Afghanistan.
