Risk-based audits of Pharmaceutical, Vaccines and Consumer Healthcare business units, as well as global local operating companies. Audit process included, developing the audit plan, creating a risk assessment based on subject business processes and internal controls, and declared risk issues; patient safety risk included adverse event and serious adverse event reporting processes and outcomes; research practices risk included audit of clinical trial process and management, including budgeting, investigator payments and investigator sponsored studies, as well as regulatory compliance. Audit conduct included management of stakeholder expectations, design of audit testing to be carried out, along with interviews and document reviews vs system audit trail reviews. Completion of audits included interface with department management on corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) based on audit findings and recommendations, timeline and deliverables for implementation of CAPAs, determination of audit opinion and writing and delivery of the audit report to senior management and other stakeholders.
