Daily Duties at Republic Services:
Gulf Coast Area had revenues of $285MM, CapEx of $20MM, five business units, six landfills, 442 routes and 980 employees over the states of Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama and the Florida panhandle and needed new leadership to turn around declining metrics, revitalize growth, improve safety and get back to consistent operational and financial excellence. Led the organization and owned Safety, Service Delivery, Sales, HR, Finance, Environmental Compliance and Customer Service. Liaison for major municipal customers, all operating agreement asset owners and all acquisition targets. Directed all consultant and lobbyist activities to secure and strengthen our competitive position in each market. Negotiated each of five union contracts.
