Daily Duties at Bechtel Austraila:
As the Lead Structural Superintendent for the Curtis Island OG&C project in Gladstone Australia, I was responsible for the supervision of Bechtel direct hire Structural riggers constructing two trains on the QGC Curtis Island project. I supervised over 90 craft consisting of Structural riggers, boilermakers, welders, and TA’s as well as non-manual supervisors. I had helped create site procedures for the removal and installation of the projects prebuilt modules shipped from Thailand. I managed the installation of structural steel throughout the site in order to assist other disciplines in achieving their goals. I had assisted other departments such as the crane department with some of their supervision needs. I had worked with engineering to quantify daily our progress and to successfully resolve various structural steel issues to ensure proper inspection and buy-off of work completed. I presented weekly the budget and schedule of my teams to management. My responsibilities had also included working with engineering for the rigging and installation of various pieces of equipment. I had created trackers and schedules used to assign, track and forecast the Bechtel Structural scope of work and developed work schedules as necessary. I had worked with project controls and field engineering to rebase line the Structural accounts.
