Daily Duties at Epson America, Inc.:

As the supply chain distribution planner, I was responsible for the supply chain and administration of a yearly $180 million dollar procurement budget. Managed the purchasing function for printers, projectors, digital cameras, scanners, and related accessories. Managed the supply chain function for our retail, distribution customer and international joint ventures in Canada, Mexico and Latin America. Managed the manufacturing priorities and schedules for our overseas plants in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Philippines, Korea and Japan. Prepared yearly product budgets for all finished goods and prepared metrics to measure accuracy of forecasting, on timely deliveries, and quality. Consolidated forecasts and prepared analysis to measure tie ratios of finished goods for all product accessories. Prepared analysis reports of product movement, forecast accuracy and sales budget adherence for senior management. Worked diligently with IT to make system improvements to the MRP system. Participated in committees to source and implement MRP software applications. I was the key contact with consultants for the improvement of procurement processes and procedures. Managed contract activities with vendors to ensure they were meeting our requirements. Processed request for proposal (RFP) to vendors. Created and updated distribution plan for finished goods coming from Asia to our 4 distribution centers. Worked with senior management for all purchase to buy metric activities and always met 95% to 100% requirements. Was responsible for approving all purchase plans created by my staff and making sure that the distribution and logistics plans were in place for the execution of the procurement plan. Managed effectively and productively my staff, hired, interviewed and trained my staff. Managed projects from inception to conclusion to make certain we made improvements to the supply chain for all finished goods. I was responsible to ensure that the Inventory Planning Report (IPR) reflects accurately the stock projection for procurement by SKU based on monthly forecasts.
