Daily Duties at Twentieth Century Fox:

As the manager of supply chain, I was responsible for all DVD manufacturing in North America. I had the role of making sure the supply chain was running according to guidelines set by senior management. I processed purchase orders totaling $75 million dollars. I worked extensively with customer service, sales, marketing and operations to make sure we had the correct product for our distribution centers. Prepared data for metrics to measure cost, quality and delivery time. Managed manufacturing capacity and scheduling in tandem with vendors. Made sure to drive material into replenishment programs to improve material flexibility. I developed and implement a strategic purchasing program to maximize schedule flexibility, while minimizing inventory exposure and maintaining performance to cost targets. Mitigate excess and obsolete inventories. Worked closely with our Vendor Management Inventory (VMI) team to make certain we had safety stock available for retail (Walmart, Best Buy, and Target), Distributors (Ingram and VPD), and direct to customers. As the key contact with all vendors I developed and maintain a value-based, team-based and long-term relationship with our selected suppliers at a strategic and operational level with a staff of 5 employees. Participated and conducted physical inventories. Created a supply chain best practices handbook for all new and existing associates. I was responsible for collaborating with internal teams and other key stakeholders early in the planning stages for projects to identify supply chain requirements; design and deliver effective solutions on a weekly basis. On a daily basis I provided project management, leadership and communication for high priority internal projects and made presentations to senior management.

What they like about Twentieth Century Fox:

You highly value a work environment built on a formal structure, rules, and regulations. You do not enjoy the unpredictability of shifting priorities and deadlines that upset your routine. You require and enjoy direction, input and accountability as part of your work environment. You have a strong need to participate in making key decisions and feel left out if your superiors or co-workers do not seek your input when making decisions. You thrive on providing good customer service to both internal or external customers, and doing so makes you feel good.
