Daily Duties at The Joy Companies, Inc. B Frank Joy, Llc:
• Coach and develop six staff towards their personal development whilst ensuring timely completion of performance reviews with an emphasis on honest feedback in areas of excellence and improvement. • Document and implement accounting procedures for five modules with emphasis on cross training the team. • Document and evaluate internal control measures with recommendations to correct identified weakness within AR, AP, payroll, cash management, Inventory and fixed asset management, amongst others. • Work cohesively with Project Managers on a monthly basis to prepare and review revenue & W-I-P schedules for over a hundred ongoing projects with individual values up to $10M. • Ensure audit readiness in specific areas relating to fixed assets and impairment, payroll, accounts payable and all other general accounting functions. • Research and analyze all material fluctuations in consolidated financial statements. • Prepare balance sheet notes describing significant changes in account balances. • Produce monthly financial statement packages, including divisional statements & DSO reports. • Ensure compliance with all required regulatory filings including but not limited to property, sales & use taxes. • Oversee the flow of information to external auditors for annual tax return filings and financial audit. • Perform annual audit on the final workers’ compensation charges from insurance carriers. • Oversee accounts receivable in adherence to bank covenant guidelines and the collateral borrowing base. • Oversee corporate cash flow management in conjunction with collection procedures, monitoring debt levels in compliance with bank covenants. • Integral participation in company’s strategic planning towards meeting set objectives and long term goals.
