Daily Duties at Babcock & Wilcox:
• Development and management of Corporate Applications Budget. This included salary planning and administration; software purchases, maintenance and depreciation schedules; travel and training management. • Management of the Corporation’s SAP Program development, configuration, human capital management, and administration teams. The 44 members’ team consisted of six direct reports. • The development and coordination of corporate web technologies internal and external programs. This included the global implementation of SharePoint and its collaborative functionalities, and the development and support of mobile and web interfaced applications. Responsibilities also included the review and approval of work performed by the internal support team as well as contractors/vendors providing ancillary support to the Global applications organization. • Responsible for the coordination of the Global Applications team with IT infrastructure, Security, and Helpdesk teams in the development of Service level agreements. Developed Six Sigma derived performance metrics which provided performance visibility, and engage internal and external customer satisfaction. • Responsible for the development of processes and procedures that ensures timely resolution and consistent implementation of initiatives set forth by the Global Applications and ERP organization and Business Stakeholders. This included the use of IT PMO tools Clarity and Microsoft’s Project Server to manage resources and scheduling capabilities for projects portfolio management. The Project management environment included working multiple IT Projects with magnitude varying from 40 hours to 6 months durations with a minimal savings threshold of 25 thousand dollars per project. • Responsible for the development of weekly/monthly status and metrics reports for the Global Applications and ERP Organization. Reports were used to inform Executive management and Business leaders of progress and issues related to key projects and activities. • Responsible for direct coordination of the Global Applications technology upgrades and technology refreshes in coordination with the IT infrastructure team. This included ensuring the alignment of the build of applications, testing, quality control, and production environments setup for corporate applications. • Provide direction in the build of IT’s systems and applications business units enhancing the organization’s people, processes, and technology. Including compliance with SOX IT governance controls, and adherence to applications risk mapping control.
