Daily Duties at Walgreens:
Responsible for dispensing prescriptions in a high volume retail pharmacy. Pharmacy prescriptions averaged over 500 Rx's/week. Weekdays M-F averaged up to 700 prescriptions/day. Received prescriptions and evaluated appropriateness of orders for dosage, drug choices, potential drug interactions, and stability. Counseled patients and conducted Medication Therapy Management consultations with Medicare and "Check Meds" patients. Assisted in training and supervising pharmacy technicians and interns. Provided immunizations to patients according to protocol guidelines including Flu shots, Zostavax, Pneumovax and Boostrix.
