Daily Duties at Nevada State Department Of Business & Industry:

• Assist the Department Director in daily management of 13 regulatory divisions • Oversee directly programs for small business advocacy and development • Serve as problem-solving liaison between other agencies, homeowners, consumers and businesses • Develop collaborative partnerships with trade organizations and chambers of commerce to carry out the mission of the department to help grow business in Nevada • Manage the Office of Business Finance & Planning to provide small businesses with access to capital and oversee the various private activity bond programs including the Industrial Revenue Bond Program for manufacturing enterprises. • Successfully founded the annual Governor’s Small Business Conference • Developed and executed innovative homeowner assistance programs as part of Governor Sandoval’s Home Means Nevada initiative • Created program to develop consistent, credible housing data. • Identified over 600 burdensome state government regulations for repeal or modification pursuant to the Governor’s first executive order • Successfully led initiatives to increase access to capital programs in Nevada • Provided leadership & increased collaboration amongst agencies assisting small businesses Successfully managed the Southern Nevada operations
