Daily Duties at Special Nutrition Of The U.S.V.I.:

• Inspect various kitchens of schools which participated in the summer lunch program • Review weekly and monthly purchasing orders for food items submitted to the Health Department by all educational institutions during the summer months for summer camp distribution • Document health issues which need to be assessed by each kitchen facility to ensure health standards are maintained • Provide monthly summation of health standards of each kitchen facility to be reviewed by the Associate Health Director • Verify work hours submitted by the employees with the assistance of the clerk stationed in each kitchen facility • Have bi-weekly meetings with the kitchen staff and clerk of each kitchen facility as to what they think may need improvement in regards to everyday functions • Document and submit the bi-weekly meetings to the Associate Health Director • Give suggestions to the Associate Health Director in reference to various health aspects which can be improved
