Called in medications orders and refills to pharmacies as directed by physicians. Prepared written prescriptions for medication/narcotics, radiology and lab testing with accurate diagnosis codes for physician review and signature. Scheduled Cat scans, all Nuclear medicine studies, MRI's, echo-cardiogram, skeletal survey's and obtained pre-authorizations when appropriate. Contacted patients with testing preparations instructions, test results and physician recommendations and/or instructions as dictated by physician. Performed data entry for all non-chemotherapy related visits with appropriate coding for billing.. Reconciled appointments with data entry to ensure capture of all non-chemotherapy related charges. Maintained working relationships with affiliated hospital oncology floor, pathology department, radiology department and admitting office. Arranged hospice admissions as directed by physicians.
