Daily Duties at Digital Equipment Corporation:

Consolidate 4 regional organizations into 1 Territory Network Integration Services organization covering the 26 Western United States, 170 employees and 150 subcontracted resources to support $200 million dollar Profit & Loss business. Reduce and stabilize operational cost by evaluating staffing requirements, office requirements, renegotiate poor performance contracts for improved terms, solution quality, pricing for profitability and resource requirements. Create technical expertise levels and standards to support and increase resource competencies of various technologies, implementation and management skills for all Territory resources. Responsible for the hiring, development, training, performance management and termination of direct reports. Extend responsibility to all managers in the organization. Responsible for client satisfaction, managed labor reduction and unplanned turnover.
