Implementation of risk reduction application for the pharmacy information system to reduce dispensing errors of look-alike or sound-alike drug names. Entered new patient profiles and prescriptions into medication input software system. Interpreted and evaluated the validity and safety of medication orders and prescriptions. Oversaw the pharmacy technicians’ drug preparation and distribution activities to provide safe, efficient care for patients. Directed operations to increase efficiency and minimize patient wait times. Conducted drug utilization reviews, drug interventions and therapy management. Compounded for inpatients and outpatients Prepared TPN for adults, pediatrics and neonates. Participated in multidisciplinary meetings Verified the safety and accuracy of IV admixtures and eye drops before dispensing to the units. Answered doctors and nurses questions concerning safety and administration of medications. Managed the pharmacy alone in the evenings and weekends. Responsible of checking the expiration dates and replenishing stocks of emergency carriages on the units Responsible of receiving medication orders on daily basis .
