Daily Duties at Stream International Inc.:
Served as lead in-house counsel for the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region (France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Tunisia and United Kingdom) and APAC (Asia Pacific) region (China, Indian and Philippines) of a global outsource provider of customer service, sales and technical support for companies such as Dell, Expedia, Hewlett Packard and Microsoft. Contracts • Reviewed, drafted and negotiated various contracts including customer, vendor, outsourcing, distribution, service level, OEM, repair, subcontractor, consulting and confidentiality. • Conducted training programs for the Sales and Marketing Departments. Employment • Investigated employee allegations of discrimination, harassment and wrongful termination. • Submitted cease and desist letters in connection with non-solicitation/non-compete, improper use of confidential information and intellectual property. Immigration • Obtained work authorizations and business visas for employees traveling to the US and outside of the US. Real Estate • Opened four new call centers in Canada, China, India and the Philippines. • Responsible for all regulatory and compliance issues associated with doing business in a foreign country for the first time. • Worked with outside counsel and government officials on business registration documents, leases, contracts and tax issues.
