Positions held concurrent to performing patrol duties: • Field Training Officer Trained, supervised, and evaluated new police recruits while they performed patrol duties out on the street for their initial training periods. • Special Events Team Member Tasked with crowd management and riot control in the event of civil unrest to preserve life, property, and the constitutional rights of the public o Team Grenadier Responsible for chemical and less-than-lethal munitions employment o Crowd Control Training Instructor Instructed non-Special Events Team members of the police department in crowd control techniques • Neighborhood Liaison Officer Police contact assigned to a neighborhood association to facilitate neighborhood-level problem solving, and trained residents in crime prevention techniques. • Background Investigator Investigated potential police recruits to ascertain the quality of the applicant and determine if the individual was qualified for the position of police officer. • Adjunct Rifle Trainer Assistant firearms trainer to commissioned department personnel.
