Daily Duties at Tesoro:

Electronics Engineer- Instrumentation & Electrical/Electronics • Proficient in PLC Instrumentation GE, Allen-Bradley and Modicon including RX 500, 5000, iFIX, Proficy Machine Edition, and NxTWorxs • Accountable for instrumentation technology selection, application, direction, policy and procedures • Assist Operations and Maintenance in establishing capital and major maintenance budgeting priorities for instrumentation • Works closely with field technicians, I&E, coordinators, Supervisors to establish assets condition, criticality and problematic areas • Direct troubleshooting and problem solving activities when operations technicians encounter a problem for which they cannot establish an acceptable solution • Lead company awareness of new developments in Technology, and changes in Codes and Standards • Apply specialized knowledge to ensure safety, reliability, and cost effectiveness of technology used to meet business needs • Subject Matter Expert on Tank Operating Philosophy • Project Manager of $7M in Capital Projects in 2014 • Facility Engineer for Petroleum Pipeline and Truck Rack Logistic Terminals • Subject Matter Expert in areas such as Analyzers, Acculoads, Tank Gauging, Fire and Safety Systems, Truck Rack Loading Systems, OMNI Flow Computers and Pipeline Instrumentation • API 653 Tank Inspectors Training Class • Certificate in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt • Capture best practices and utilize Industry Regulations for Introduction into Company Policies • Provided training region wide as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Tank Operating Philosophy • Provide DOT/OQ proctoring to the Regional Training Department
