Daily Duties at Navsea:
Managed projects and provided engineering support to Ship Launched Missile Branch • Program Manager for MK125 Standard Missile Warhead production program • Contract development and fulfillment including requirements definition, cost, and schedule negotiations • Primary interface with internal and external customers including major DOD prime contractors • Managed schedule and budget, and reported metrics such as Earned Value utilizing MS Project • Resolution of quality and engineering change issues affecting production • Utilized LEAN rapid improvement “Kaizen” events to convert production from batch to single-piece-flow • Review processes utilizing “Value Stream Mapping” in order to drive process improvement • Improved production efficiency by 77%, reduced discrepancy rate from 23% to 3% • Developed production database application • Represented NAVSEA on Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile propulsion IPT • Developed reusable liquid propulsion rocket engine for testing of gel propellant • Assess health of aging missile rocket motors
