Manage engineering department • Successful completion of all engineering projects and tasks • Evaluation and development of department policy and procedure • New Product Development (Military and Commercial) • Production Engineering Support • Quality Engineering Support • FAA Certification of new products • Develop presentations for internal and external high-level briefings • Develop and track project schedules and budgets for major programs • SAE standards committee member • Manage design process, and document control • Conduct CAD training, develop drawing standards, and templates • Conduct design review • Approve Engineering Changes • Knowledge of various manufacturing processes (stamping, plastic/metal injection, CNC, casting, forging, laser cutting, rapid prototyping) • Conduct dynamic testing of restraint and inflatable systems for automotive and aviation applications • Train engineers in dynamic testing, design, and engineering process
