Daily Duties at Quiznos:
• Build weekly, monthly, and quarterly trending analysis of system sales, purchases, store-level operational performance, and other operational/compliance metrics for US and Canada operations • Analyze weekly restaurant reported sales versus purchased product to identify at-risk areas • Create and implement processes and programs that pro-actively reduce sales reporting and product purchase related losses • Utilize, maintain, and define SQL Server and Dynamics Business Intelligence tools to optimize corporate royalty revenue and profit from product purchases, and to create process efficiencies and analytical improvements • Manage and ensure the data integrity within data warehouse, SSIS functionality and timing, SSAS cubes design and functionality, and SSRS Reporting requirements for the revenue assurance team. • Perform special assignments, studies, special projects, ad hoc analyses and provide internal cross-functional consultation for other departmental business needs • Develop and manage operational assessment programs and align Franchise Agreement contractual obligations and Operations Manual standards to assessments • Manage day to day operational assessment program compliance for 70 to 80 US/Canada field personnel/directors and 100+ third party EcoLab specialists/field personnel • Manage short and long term third party vendor relationships, contractual negotiations and obligations, and ensure program effectiveness. • Determine where significant breaches of operational contract obligations occur, and interface with Legal counsel to issue defaults and non-compliance penalties • Resolve and negotiate default curing processes and escalations with field personnel and Franchise Owners in order to ensure future compliance standards are met • Lead and oversee restaurant financial and purchase audits in order to investigate suspected areas of under-reporting and purchasing non-compliance • Manage team 6 to 8 internal and contract resources to accurately compile and aggregate data from requested audit documents • Create, manage, and maintain online audit forms and distribute to parties of requested financial audits • Build, manage, and maintain back-end analytical tools to determine financial compliance, and assess critical alerts to flag potential under-reporting of revenue • Recommend quick-win and long term financial and operational solutions with Franchise Owners, after completion of audits • Build and define specialized calculated royalty programs for repeated reporting or purchasing issues with under-reporting and food cost issues and enforce reasonable compliance timeframes to comply Achievements: • Conducted over 1500 financial and purchasing audits (6 rounds) since 2010, identifying over 900 stores suspected of under-reporting sales and royalties, resulting in over $750K of reclaimed royalty revenue ($15M identified under-reported Net2 revenue per year) • Identified 150-250 additional stores per week that were under-reporting sales and royalty payments since 2010 , utilizing Business Intelligence reporting and analytic tools • Identified and confirmed over $15M in under-reported sales per year • Reclaimed over $2M in under-reported royalty revenues since 2010 • Created calculated royalty ACH processes that resulted in reduced purchase to sales ratios
