Daily Duties at Nav Air Command:

Responsible for the planning, training and logistical support of SUAS operators and equipment for the Assistant Supervisor of the Navy and Marine Corps Small Tactical UAS program office (PMA-263) team in the Training and Logistics Support Activity (TALSA) on the West coast. • Coordinated training schedules of military units to deliver UAS training and expanded curriculum to include all Group 1 SUAS assets • Instituted and implemented a consistent standardized cross branch training and sustainment support program • Instructed and trained Marines and sailors in UAV operations, enabling small unit battlefield commanders to perform over-the-horizon reconnaissance, surveillance and target acquisition • Conducted classroom and practical application field UAS training requirements that focused on the systems' function, employment, maintenance and troubleshooting issues. Enabled UAS operators to tactically and effectively employ UAV systems in mission planning, mission sensor/payload operations, launching, remotely piloting and recovering the unmanned aerial vehicles • Coordinated, implemented and conducted air-space management and operation risk management (ORM) procedures in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration, US Navy and US Marine Corps laws and regulations
