I was hired away from a global marketing communications firm to build market share for Swanson Russell, transforming it from an agency with an antiquated business model and inferior talent, to a prominent, nationally recognized marketing communications firm. My initial strategy was to grow the agency's base of agriculture accounts, while also serving existing clients. Within one year, I assumed supervisory responsibility for the company's second largest account within the outdoor recreation industry, and implemented a successful strategy for new business development that involved cold calling prospects at outdoor recreation industry trade shows, phone follow-up, and the dissemination of personally written white papers. Years later, I would focus on building the agency income in the agriculture market through the same method. I started the business from scratch, and have built it into a comprehensive practice to meet the needs of business owners and middle to high net worth individuals. I collaborate with a network of seasoned industry professionals, attorneys and advanced planning personnel, to provide a high level of competency and performance on advanced cases, while also serving clients who require less complex solutions.
