The primary responsibilities of this position included driving in vivo and in vitro research activities for in-house preclinical research programs within dyslipidemia and metabolic diseases. In addition, a key responsibility was to provide continual program assessment and go/no go recommendations for specific targets based on research data and monitoring the competitive environment. Through my tenure in this position, I made several significant changes to the animal models being used and the data being collected from the animals. These changes significantly reduced the cost of running the experiments and helped lead to the development of program biomarkers. I was primary author of several publications and presented at different international conferences as a result of our studies.
