• Configure, manage day-to day systems administration and maintenance of AWS cloud servers EC2 and RDS. • Utilized AWS CLI to automate backups of ephemeral data-stores to S3 buckets and created nightly AMIs for mission critical production servers as backups. • Design roles and groups using AWS identity and access management (IAM). • Implement and maintain the monitoring and alerting of production and corporate servers/storage using CloudWatch. • Document system configurations, Instance, OS, and AMI build practices, backup procedures, troubleshooting guides, and keep infrastructure and architecture drawings current with changes. • Partner with platform data and app teams to make sure architecture and infrastructure meet business requirements. • Provide oversight and guidance for the architecture, development best practices for application hosting, and infrastructure deployment for each application. • Configured Jenkins using Ant build • Puppet Configuration • Creating a Passwordless SSH Login • Monitoring System Performance of Virtual memory, Managing Swap Space, Disk utilization and CPU utilization • Daily Monitoring of users accounts and usage • Creating and managing of users accounts in Solaris, Red hat Linux, Centos and Scientific Linux • Remote Access using third party software( Mobaxterm, Putty and VPN) • Setting up of users and group login ID’s, printing parameter, resolving Permissions and password access • Intimate use of vi, nano and vim editors to create and edit files • Design, Build and troubleshooting of Red hat Linux, Solaris, Centos and Scientific Linux on VMware and OVM • Built Apache2 Web in Solaris and Apache in Red hat • Implement NFS, DNS, DHCP, AutoFs, LFTP,Samba and FTP,TCP WrapperS on Centos, Red hat and Scientific Linux • Installed configured and deployed NetBackup media servers to handle varying levels of data traffic and load • Introduced new servers to the network. Maintaining and troubleshooting network connectivity. • Partitioning and Managing of disk using LVM and Fdisk • Managing and creating File system • Performed server installation using, Kickstart, Jumpstart, Network and DVD and on physical server. • Experience with Solaris Zones. Configuring, Patching,Migration and resource management of Zones • Managed system processes and scheduling processes with the Cron,At and Anacron • Monitoring System Performance of Virtual memory, Managing Swap Space, Disk utilization and CPU utilization • Use bash shell scripting to schedule and automate processes including full and incremental backups using cpio, usfs and tar. • Troubleshooting Linux network, security related issues, capturing packets using tools such as iptables, firewall, TCP wrappers and NMAP • Experience with remedy ticketing system
